Akshay Oberoi Joins Aashram 4
Prakash Jha’s Aashram has established itself as one of the most popular and talked-about Indian web series since its first season premiered in 2020. The show revolves around Baba Nirala, played by Bobby Deol, a self-proclaimed godman who enjoys immense influence over his followers while harbouring a darker side.
Following the success of the first three seasons, Aashram is now returning with its fourth chapter. The new season recently went on floors after a mahurat ceremony, with filmmaker Prakash Jha beginning production on the highly anticipated instalment. Adding to the excitement, Akshay Oberoi has officially joined the cast.
Although his character details have not been revealed, the actor is expected to play a significant role in the upcoming season. The decision to keep his character under wraps has only fuelled curiosity about how he will enter Baba Nirala’s increasingly complicated world. Oberoi is currently promoting Toxic, in which he stars alongside Yash, Kiara Advani and Nayanthara.

Akshay also spoke about his excitement about collaborating with Prakash Jha and becoming part of the franchise. "Joining a show like Aashram is genuinely exciting because it has created such a strong and distinctive world over the years. Prakash Jha sir has a very unique way of telling stories, and the characters in this universe are never straightforward."
The actor said he was immediately intrigued when he heard about his character. He added, "There is a lot I cannot reveal at this stage because we are keeping the details under wraps, but I can say that it is a role that challenged me and made me very excited to come on board." The actor said that he is really looking forward to being part of this world and working with Prakash Jha and his entire team.
Meanwhile, Bobby Deol will reprise his role as Baba Nirala in Aashram 4. Aaditi Pohankar will return as Parminder ‘Pammi’ Lochan, while Chandan Roy Sanyal will once again play Bhupendra ‘Bhopa Swami’. Tridha Choudhury will also return as Babita. The upcoming season also features Sachin Shroff, Neetu Chandra Srivastava, Chaitannya Choudhry, Parinitaa Seth and Pankhuri Gidwani in important roles.
