What is the story about?
Vijay Deverakonda recently launched the trailer of his upcoming film, Ranabaali, which also features his actress-wife, Rashmika Mandanna as the female
lead. The film is releasing on October 16, 2026, in theatres. Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is releasing just a day before Ranabaali. At the trailer launch event, Vijay hit back at trolls for claiming that they would prefer watching Rajinikanth’s Tamil film over his Telugu starrer. The Arjun Reddy star called the hate messages as ‘paid’ comments against him and his film. He feels that the 90 per cent of it is manufactured.
Vijay Deverakonda Hits Back At Trolls
At the Ranabaali trailer launch, Vijay Deverakonda strongly reacted to online trolling. After being asked about it, he asked the media some questions. He said, “Should I stop because someone thinks my dreams and hard work are unnecessary? Should I start acting because someone thinks my honesty comes off as arrogance? Should I step back because someone thinks my self-confidence comes across as pride? If they cannot digest my journey, must I sit at home?”
The Dear Comrade star further confessed that he will not change. He feels they (haters) are the ones who need to change. He enjoys success stories a lot. The actor feels that such hateful comments look like trolls are being paid to target him. Vijay Deverakonda stated, “First of all, we can’t even call it hate. Because 90% of it is manufactured. There’s a batch that drops Reels at a time that they’d rather watch Jailer 2 over Ranabaali, despite it being a Telugu film.”
While speaking about the clash between Jailer 2 and Ranabaali, Vijay stated, “People can have opinions, but if you see the same opinion everywhere, it’s manufactured. What they must understand is that the attacks they’re paid for today, AI will do tomorrow. No one can stop it. The person paying them will stop.” He further mentioned that social media is not being used for good things. Some users are trying to bring down people on the internet. Apart from that, Vijay also shared some interesting details about his upcoming film, Ranabaali.
