Who is Ramana Balachandhran?
Ramana Balachandhran is widely regarded as one of the most talented young musicians in the Carnatic music tradition. Born to music practitioners Balachandhran and Sharanya, his musical abilities were recognised at a very early age when he demonstrated an unusual talent for identifying ragas and musical nuances.
His prodigious skills earned him an A grade from All India Radio at the age of sixteen, a rare distinction granted to only a handful of musicians in the organisation’s more than 75-year history. The prestigious Madras Music Academy also made an exception to its age rules to invite him to perform at its renowned annual concert series when he was just sixteen, as per details on his website.
Since then, Ramana has become one of the most sought-after instrumentalists in India. He has performed at leading concert halls, music festivals and cultural institutions across the country and abroad. In 2018, at the age of sixteen, he completed a 24-concert spring tour in the United States. He has also performed at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the presence of the President, the Prime Minister and several international dignitaries.
More about Dhurandhar 2 music
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2’s trailer and its music has already created a huge buzz, all thanks to the energetic track Ari Ari. Much of the trailer’s action sequences are set to a remixed version of the song. The track is actually a revived version of a popular song originally created by the Danish-Indian music duo Bombay Rockers. The original Ari Ari was released around 2007 as part of their debut album Introducing and quickly became an iconic track.
One of the major factors behind Dhurandhar becoming a huge hit was its viral track list. With Aditya-Shashwat's duo adding Indian traditional music to the album of the sequel, we will surely witness history being made yet again.
