Recently, SS Rajamouli and his core team flew to Kenya for a detailed location recce. The filmmaker is planning to shoot key sequences of the film in the East African country, drawn by its dramatic landscapes and untapped cinematic potential.
During their visit, Rajamouli and his team had a high-profile meeting with Musalia Mudavadi, Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs. The minister warmly welcomed the Indian crew and described Rajamouli as a “visionary storyteller” whose work has touched audiences not only in India but across the African continent as well.

In a surprising announcement, Mudavadi revealed via social media that SSMB 29 is set to release in 120 countries, making it the widest international release ever for an Indian film, surpassing even Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. This revelation has taken expectations to an entirely new level, as Rajamouli seems determined to craft a truly global cinematic experience.
