What is the story about?
Bhuvan Bam is going places at the moment, quite literally. After transitioning from YouTube to acting with shows such as Dhindora and Taaza Khabar, he most
recently appeared in Nikkhil Advani's patriotic action thriller The Revolutionaries. Days after the web series premiered on Amazon Prime Video, Bhuvan got an opportunity to watch it with Salman Khan at his residence. The show also features Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta, and Gurfateh Pirzada in pivotal roles.
Salman Khan Gives A Shoutout To The Revolutionaries
Taking to social media, Bhuvan Bam shared a bunch of pictures with Salman Khan from his residence Galaxy. In the stills, Salman and Bhuvan are seen standing and watching The Revolutionaries on a laptop along with director Nikkhil Advani.
Along with the pictures, Bhuvan also shared a note in the caption where he reused Salman's famous Kick dialogue, saying, "Revolutionaries dil mein aate hain, dimaag mein nahi." He then added that he had the good fortune of watching the show with Salman at his own house. Further, Bhuvan thanked Nikkhil for trusting him with the project and taking it to Salman. The superstar then gave a shoutout to the show on his Instagram Story.
Salman and Nikkhil go way back in terms of professional collaboration. The actor-director worked together on the 2007 release Salaam-E-Ishq.
Adapted from Sanjeev Sanyal's bestselling non-fiction book Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom, the series explores the armed resistance movement against British colonial rule during the early 20th century.
It features Bhuvan Bam as Rash Behari Bose, Rohit Saraf as Sachindra Nath Sanyal, Gurfateh Pirzada as Bagha Jatin, and Pratibha Ranta as Pratibha Lahiri. The Revolutionaries focuses on lesser-known freedom fighters who chose violent resistance over non-violent protest.
The show arrived on Amazon Prime Video on September 11 and opened to mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike.
