What is the story about?
Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia's upcoming film Vvan: Force of the Forest, a folk thriller backed by Ekta Kapoor, was intially slated to release
in theatres on August 28, 2026. Interestingly, Sidharth's wife and actress Kiara Advani is also set to arrive in cinemas the same week with her much-awaited film alongside Yash, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. While it would have been an exciting box office clash, it has now been avoided. On Thursday, the makers unveiled a new motion poster and announced that Vvan has been postponed to September 2026.
Vvan Averts Box Office Clash With Toxic
Sharing the announcement, Sid wrote, "Baagh uski dahaad hai… Nandi uski shakti. Aur Vvaan… uski kahaani. #THEVVAAN in cinemas on 25th September, 2026."
The intriguing motion poster features a brave warrior battling a tiger and a bull while holding a trishul in his hand. The sound, colours and overall theme of the poster have left fans curious about the film.

More About Vvan
Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Kumar Mishra are directing the film. It stars actress Tamannah Bhatia opposite Sid and their first collaboration together. Suniel Grover, Maniesh Paul, Shweta Tiwari and Anup Soni will also be seen in the film in key roles.
Set against the backdrop of Indian mythology, age-old folklore, and mysterious supernatural elements, Vvan is expected to explore a dark and enigmatic forest filled with hidden secrets, mythical tales, and unexplained forces. D

Toxic, helmed by Geetu Mohandas, is one of the most awaited films of August 2026. It was initially slated to release in theatres in March this year, alongside Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar's sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge. However, the film was delayed due to pending post-production work. Now, it is finally arriving on August 28. The film also stars Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, and Huma Qureshi.
Recently, the makers unveiled the music video of Yash and Kiara's Tabaahi, leaving the internet gasping. The duo's sizzling chemistry has become the talk of the town.
Earlier, the teaser of the movie received mixed reactions. Many criticised the video for allegedly over-sexualising its female characters. Some even called it "cringe" and slammed the makers over a particular gun scene.
