In his recent chat with us, Kher shared, " Shah Rukh is a wonderful co-actor and a wonderful person, that is why he is where he is."
He went on to speak about SRK's National Award win, "I was so thrilled when his name was announced, I could not reach out to him, but I left a message with Pooja that I'm so thrilled. He is also a very giving actor. He is one person who really experiments and doesn't come with preconceived ideas. enjoys the work. I have not worked with him for a long time. But I have some amazing memories.'
As I said, when I asked him to put my trailer out on his social media, he did it with so much of grace and magnanimity. He is a magnanimous person."

Anupam Kher on bond with Shah Rukh Khan post DDLJ
When asked if the bond post DDLJ is just the same, he responded, "Jo rishta humne Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge ke dauraan guzara tha, chahe wo baap bete ka tha, leking wo pyaar, jo humne usme dikhaya tha wo pyaar humara barkarar hai. Main nahi jaanta ki unko mere barey main kitna pata hai ki main kya kar raha hu, but I keep a track of what he is doing, and I called him up when I saw this film for which he has done the National Award - Jawan. I was shooting in some remote area and he was very thriller. Rishte tape recorder ke pause button ki Tarah hote hai, jinko us button ko dabana hota hai wahi se dabana hota hai jaha se aapne chhode hote hain. There are certain people I am very comfortable with, Anil Kapoor is one of them, even Akshay is there."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Anupam Kher’s latest film Tanvi The Great has earned praise from audiences. The film tells a moving and powerful story that intertwines themes of autism and the Indian Army. It follows a young girl who, inspired by the legacy of her late father, aspires to join the armed forces. Joining Kher in the ensemble cast are Shubhangi Dutt, Boman Irani, Karan Tacker, Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swami, Nasser, and British actor Iain Glen.
