the biggest opening day ever for a Hollywood release in India, the Marvel Cinematic Universe film witnessed a huge jump in collections on its first Saturday. Driven by strong word of mouth, exceptional occupancy and impressive footfalls across English and dubbed versions, the superhero spectacle has now crossed the Rs 200 crore gross mark in India within just three days. The film has comfortably maintained its dominance at the box office and is expected to post an even bigger number on Sunday.
Spider-Man Brand New Day Box Office Collection
On Day 3 (first Saturday), Spider-Man: Brand New Day collected Rs 66.75 crore net across India. The film was screened in 17,704 shows and registered an impressive overall occupancy of 76.4 percent. With this, the film's total India net collection now stands at Rs 176.70 crore, while its India gross collection has reached a massive Rs 211.27 crore in just three days.
Here's the day-wise box office breakdown:
- Day 1 (First Thursday): Rs 60.60 crore net
- Day 2 (First Friday): Rs 49.35 crore net
- Day 3 (First Saturday): Rs 66.75 crore net
The Day 3 collections were led by the English version, which contributed Rs 38.35 crore. The Hindi version followed with Rs 21.75 crore, while the remaining collections came from the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam dubbed versions.
The Saturday growth indicates that audience demand for the film remains exceptionally strong despite its record-breaking opening. The rise in occupancy from Friday to Saturday also reflects increased weekend footfalls, positioning the film for another major jump on Sunday. Interestingly, Spider-Man: Brand New Day had already created history on its opening day by becoming the biggest Hollywood opener ever in India. The film collected Rs 60.60 crore net on Day 1, surpassing the previous record held by Avengers: Endgame, which had opened with Rs 53.10 crore net in 2019.
