'Cocktail 2' earns ₹3 crore in advance booking

The spiritual sequel to Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan and Diana Penty’s Cocktail is releasing this Friday. Headlined by Kriti Sanon, Rashmika Mandanna

and Shahid Kapoor, the film is directed by Homi Adajania. Cocktail 2, scheduled to release on June 19, promises to be an entertaining story of love and friendship. The advance booking window for the film has opened. As the release date comes closer, the first day collection will be estimated accurately. Currently, Cocktail 2 has collected Rs 1.67 crore gross and Rs 3.31 crore with blocked seats.

Cocktail 2 Advance Booking

According to Sacnilk’s report, Cocktail 2 has sold 47,367 tickets by 18:00 PM on Wednesday. The film, as of now, is showing a healthy trend. Cocktail 2’s advance booking estimate is expected to grow by the end of Thursday and further over the weekend based on word of mouth.

Is Cocktail 2 'A' rated

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared the film with an ‘A’ rated certificate. As per a ticketing app, Cocktail 2 has been granted an adult certificate, and the runtime of the film is 2 hours and 30 minutes. It is Kriti’s first A-rated film. For Shahid, it is his fifth adult film after O' Romeo, Kabir Singh, Udta Punjab and Kaminey. Cocktail 2 is Rashmika’s second A film after Animal.

As per a Bollywood Hungama Report, the CBFC cleared Cocktail 2 with no visual cuts. However, a couple of audio changes were suggested. According to the report, a cuss word appearing in the film's subtitles was removed. The word 'Agni' was replaced with 'Diya'. Besides this, 'Jew on the run,' term was removed.

Cocktail 2 not a lesbian story

Amid reports of Cocktail 2 being a lesbian love story, Kriti and Rashmika confirmed at an event in Bengaluru on Tuesday that rumours hold no truth and the film’s story doesn’t focus on their romance.

In a recent AMA, Rashmika spoke about working with Shahid in Cocktail 2. She wrote, "It was really nice working with him and I really hope I get to work with him again. P.S - Kunal and Diya always chatting away."

Kriti reunites with Shahid after Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. Rashmika is working with them for the first time. It is her first film as Rashmika Mandanna Deverakonda.
