Headlined by Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri, the upcoming Netflix crime-comedy revolves around a dysfunctional family trying to hide a dead body while their lives spiral completely out of control. Directed by Suresh Triveni, Maa Behen is set to premiere on June 4 on Netflix.
Maa Behen trailer OUT
The trailer's dramatic narration teases a 'bhayankar kaand' in Adarsh Colony involving Rekha, Jaya and Sushma. Very quickly, viewers are thrown into a chaotic situation where the dead body of Mr Gupta mysteriously lands inside Rekha’s house, forcing the already dysfunctional family to come together in panic mode.
The trailer introduces Madhuri Dixit as Rekha, an unconventional mother who is struggling to keep her family together while handling complete mayhem around her. Triptii Dimri plays Jaya, the so-called 'sushil beti' of the family, while Dharna Durga appears as the unpredictable Sushma.
As suspicions rise and neighbours begin interfering, the trio finds itself trapped in a series of bizarre situations involving cover-ups, lies and emotional meltdowns. The trailer perfectly balances thriller elements with comedy, making the mystery around the dead body both suspenseful and hilarious at the same time. Adding to the madness are supporting characters played by Ravi Kishan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Arunoday Singh and Shardul Bhardwaj, all of whom seem to contribute to the complete chaos unfolding around the family.
Produced by Abundantia Entertainment in association with Opening Image Films, Maa Behen is directed by Suresh Triveni. Talking about the film, he described it as a story about a dysfunctional mother-daughter trio constantly at loggerheads before a shocking 'KAAND' changes everything. What follows is a chaotic chain of events involving panic, comedy and bizarre attempts to survive the situation together.
