Ranveer Singh is a devoted Ganpati Bappa follower and that's no secret. Recently, Bollywood’s beloved Baba attended the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at the Ambani
residence. And on Thursday, he stepped out to visit Mumbai's iconic Lalbaugcha Raja. Clad in a simple white kurta, the Dhurandhar star arrived to seek Bappa's blessings ahead of wife Deepika Padukone's due date. During his visit, Ranveer expressed gratitude for the wonderful year he has had and hoped that everything would continue to be good in the coming year. On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, the actor also showed his support for the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan and pledged to help 1,000 girls with their education.
Ranveer Singh Pledges To Support Education Of 1,000 Girls
During a chat with News18, Ranveer Singh expressed, "Bahut achha lag raha hai yahan aake. Jo pichhla saal guzra hai, mere liye aur mere parivaar ke liye, khushiyon se bhara raha Bappa ki kripa se. Toh yahan aaye hain unke darshan karne, unko dhanyavaad kehne, unka aashirvaad lene aage ke safar ke liye, jeevan ke safar ke liye (It feels really good to be here. By Bappa’s grace, the past year has been filled with happiness for my family and me. So, we have come here to seek his darshan, thank him, and seek his blessings for the journey ahead and for our journey through life)."
He added, "Ganesh Chaturthi ke shubh avsar par aur humare adarniya Pradhan Mantri Shri Narendra Modi ke janam din ke avsar par, main Seva Sankalp Abhiyan se jud kar 1,000 betiyon ki padhai mein madad karne ka sankalp leta hoon. Aasha hai ki iske chalte Bappa prasann honge aur unka aashirvaad hamesha humare sir par rahega (On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi and on the occasion of the birth anniversary of our respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, I pledge to join the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan and support the education of 1,000 daughters. I hope that Bappa will be pleased with this initiative and that his blessings will always remain upon us)."
Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor Join Seva Sankalp Abhiyan
Earlier on Thursday, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor also took a pledge under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
Wishing PM Modi, the Love And War actress said that the spirit of the campaign reflects a wonderful vision of collective action and giving back. She added that, to mark the day and support the cause, she and Ranbir were pledging to refurbish 20 schools, as per the recommendations of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), to help create brighter and better-equipped spaces for children to learn and thrive.
