What is the story about?
Alia Bhatt is Alpha. But who is the real Alpha at home? Is it Alia or husband, Ranbir Kapoor? As the actress is gearing up for her next big offering, she
is making sure the mega production plays all the cards right. Alpha marks her entry into the YRF Spy Universe, the first female-led actioner, in which she shares screen space with Sharvari Wagh. While the Shiv Rawail directorial marks a new chapter in her career, the movie is grabbing eyeballs for its sleek action, interesting plot and the connection it establishes with the other YRF films like Pathaan, Tiger and War.
Who is real Alpha, Animal at home?
During one of the conversations about the movie with YouTuber MyMissAnand, Alia was asked if she was Alpha and Ranbir was Animal (referring to his hit movie with Sandeep Reddy Vanga), who was the real boss at home? Alia quipped, "Raha!"
Alia joked and went on to explain how her 3-year-old daughter called the shots at home for her. "Raha is the actual Animal and Alpha at home. She is the Gen Alpha."
Raha calls the shots
Alia went on to share that while Raha thinks her mother is cool, "I receive a lot of compliments from her. And I love that." The actress went on to reveal that since she's mostly in her pyjamas at home, "one day I decided to wear jeans and sit at home, she asked, 'Where are you going?' I said I can't sit in nightclothes at home. She said 'No, you don't sit like this.'"
What is Alpha about?
Alpha has been in the making for a long time. After much delay and reshoots, the movie is finally set to hit the screen on July 3. Also starring Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor, it has Hrithik Roshan in a cameo, possibly reprising his Kabir Dhaliwal from War.
The film is the seventh entry in the YRF Spy Universe, produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, and the first in the franchise to place women in the lead roles. Alia Bhatt plays Sita, a highly trained assassin who slowly discovers uncomfortable truths about the person who trained her. Sharvari plays a fellow agent and shares a significant part of the story alongside her. Alia and Sharvari join forces to fight a ruthless adversary and take down an illicit soldier program.
Alia and Sharvari recently surprised fans with a surprise Instagram live session while driving, where they played an unreleased song titled Massacre, sung by Shilpa Rao, from the film.
