South’s new power couple Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna recently tied the knot. After dating privately, the duo married in an intimate Telugu
ceremony in Udaipur on Thursday, February 26. While fans were still gushing over their dreamy wedding photos, the makers of their upcoming film Ranabaali unveiled a special glimpse of the couple’s first project after marriage. The film marks their return as an onscreen pair, with Vijay playing Ranabaali and Rashmika essaying Jayamma. The track has been released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
Ranabaali is also set to release in theatres in all the above languages on September 11. Touted as a pan-India visual spectacle, the film is helmed by Rahul Sankrityan.
Vijay Deverakonda-Rashmika Mandanna Grand Wedding
Virosh tied the knot at ITC Mementos in Udaipur. The couple began their pre-wedding celebrations earlier this week with a lively pool party, followed by a cosy welcome dinner for close friends and family. Their festivities continued with a friendly cricket match and the traditional haldi ceremony, which was followed by mehendi and sangeet events. The bride gave fans a glimpse of the celebrations through her Instagram Stories, but everyone is eagerly awaiting the official wedding pictures.
The wedding itself took place on Thursday, with the couple later sharing official photos accompanied by heartfelt captions. Rashmika looked stunning in a rust-orange saree paired with gold temple jewellery, while Vijay looked regal in his traditional outfit. The groom’s alta and jewellery, and his grand entrance to the mandap on horseback, stole the attention.
To honour the bride’s heritage, the couple also held a Kodava wedding ceremony on the same day. Pictures from the second function are currently awaited.
On Friday, the couple made their first public appearance as husband and wife. They were spotted at the Udaipur airport as they jetted off after the grand wedding.
Although their Udaipur wedding was an intimate affair with just 100 guests, the newlyweds are now preparing for a lavish reception. It is expected to welcome politicians, film stars, and other prominent figures.
