Sara Ali Khan on Saif Ali Khan attack
Sara opened up about the lesson that the attack on Saif taught her. She was with her grandmother, Sharmila Tagore, on Soha’s podcast. The 30-year-old said, “I have learned that dignity and grace above all else, even in the hardest of times. I think as a family we have been through quite a lot together, especially earlier this year with abba (Saif Ali Khan).” Further praising her grandmother, Sara added, “But I think just holding herself together and not letting that go I think that’s something.”
Saif Ali Khan reacts to stabbing attack
Saif spoke about the attack and netizens questioning his immediate recovery. On Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle, the actor was asked, "We saw a video of you, after coming out of the hospital, actually getting out of the car and walking. And I was amazed. How did you do that?"
Saif responded, "When it was finished, there were some people from there. A lot of advice on how to go... The media was curious. And I kept... because nobody was listening to me. Because I said, 'Listen, if the media is curious, we should settle it and let me just walk out of the hospital because I can walk.' It was very bad but it was okay. They stitched it up and I was there for a week. The back was okay. It was painful to walk but I could walk. The wheelchair was not required."
He also revealed, "Somebody said, 'You should go in an ambulance.' Somebody said, 'You should go in a wheelchair.' And my instinct was, why create any kind of panic or worry even with family, fans, well-wishers or anyone? Just walk out to send a picture message that you're okay."
"That was the idea but there was so much feedback on that that this is fake and that's true, but that's the kind of world we live in. But this is the reason I did it," he concluded.
Sara is Saif and Amrita Singh’s firstborn. She has a brother, Ibrahim Ali Khan, who also became an actor with Nadaaniyan this year.
