Having worked with Vijay on five major films over the past decade, Anirudh reflected on their journey together following the release of the actor's final film before stepping away from cinema. From Kaththi to Jana Nayagan, the duo delivered several chart-topping songs that became fan favourites. Taking to X, the composer thanked Vijay for his unwavering trust, saying the memories they created together would remain with him forever.

Soon after the release of Jana Nayagan, Anirudh Ravichander shared a heartfelt message on X, looking back on his long-standing association with Vijay. Calling it an "amazing and emotional journey", the composer thanked the actor for the faith he had placed in him over the years.
"It has been a thoroughly amazing and emotional journey with you through Jana Nayagan, Leo, Beast, Master and Kaththi. Thank you, actor Vijay sir, for the unlimited trust and memories that I will cherish forever. The music lives on," Anirudh wrote.
Their collaboration began with Kaththi (2014) and went on to produce several blockbuster tracks, including Selfie Pulla, Vaathi Coming, Kutti Story, Naa Ready, Bloody Sweet and Thalapathy Kacheri. Over the years, the Vijay-Anirudh partnership became one of the most celebrated actor-composer combinations in Tamil cinema.
An emotional farewell as Jana Nayagan dominates the box office
On the film's release day, Anirudh visited Chennai's Vettri Theatres to watch Jana Nayagan with fans. He was greeted with loud cheers, waved to the crowd and recreated Vijay's iconic hand gesture from Mersal. Speaking to the media after the screening, the composer said that watching Vijay's final film was an emotional experience.
Meanwhile, Jana Nayagan continues its dream run at the box office. The action drama has crossed Rs 200 crore worldwide within just four days and has now collected Rs 217.48 crore globally. Directed by H. Vinoth, the film features Mamitha Baiju, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain and Priyamani. Produced by KVN Productions, Jana Nayagan is a partial remake of the 2023 Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari and marks Vijay's final appearance on the big screen before his full-time political career. Vijay's final film, Jana Nayagan, suffered a major piracy setback ahead of its theatrical release, with police estimating that nearly 1.2 crore people watched the leaked, uncertified version online.
