Although Aamir confirmed that Ek Din’s plot is completely different from Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara, trailer 2 indeed gives vibes of the 2025 blockbuster film.

Their story takes an unexpected turn when Meera is diagnosed with TGA. It is a rare medical condition that temporarily erases her recent memories for about 24 hours. In that fleeting opportunity, the two of them experience a deep, one-day love while travelling in Japan, knowing full well that once her memories return, she will completely forget him and the moments they spent together. Despite the inevitable heartbreak, he chooses to embrace that single day of love, making their story both beautiful and tragic.
Is Ek Din similar to Saiyaara?
At first glance, Ek Din and Saiyaara may seem similar because both revolve around intense, emotionally charged love stories. However, the core of their storytelling is quite different.
