Arjun Bijlani on SC’s verdict on stray dogs in Delhi-NCR
During a candid chat with us, Arjun Bijlani said, “It's very unfortunate that stray dogs are going to be put in shelters. I don't know if there are so many shelters in the first place for many dogs to be accommodated. I don't know what kind of treatment they will have in the shelters, which is another big debate. Being a dog lover, my heart breaks just to imagine what's going to happen.”
Arjun Bijlani further stated that he wishes that the government has good infrastructure to accommodate the dogs in the shelters. He said, “I wish we have the infrastructure for the same. If it's there, they have to be inspected to see whether the dogs are taken care of.”

It has to be noted that the Naagin actor didn’t criticise the Supreme Court’s verdict. Arjun Bijlani stated, “I respect the Supreme Court. I totally believe in the institution. I think they should make more laws like this for people who create nuisances on roads. There are so many things that the Supreme Court's intervention is needed. There are a lot of things that go wrong in the society that also need to be fixed.”
While concluding his statement, Arjun Bijlani gave some suggestions to solve the issues of the increase in the stray dogs’ population. He said, “There should be vaccination and sterilisation. The dogs need to be neutered so that they don't keep increasing. I am sure there have been instances where human kids were attacked by stray dogs. The solution is complicated. We need to think about the long-term solution and animals.”
Not only Arjun Bijlani, but also Bhumi Pednekar, John Abraham, Rupali Ganguly and other celebs have also reacted to the SC’s verdict.
