According to reports, he has reportedly been cast for the role of Lord Krishna in a Telugu remake of the Gujarati blocbuster – Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate. For the unversed, the Gujarati film is the highest-grossing film of all time in the regional industry. The film had no audience in theatres for two weeks when it was released. Later, it gained momentum and eventually crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office without any star power.
Vijay Deverakonda To Play Krishna In Telugu Remake Of Gujarati Film
According to a Bollywood Hungama report, producer Dil Raju acquired the Telugu remake rights of Laalo. Earlier, reports surfaced that Ram Charan was considered for the film. But a source informed the portal, “It’s indeed true that Laalo’s Telugu remake is in the works. But Ram Charan is not a part of it. It’s Vijay Deverakonda who has bagged the much-sought-after role of Lord Krishna.”
The source further revealed that Vipul D Shah of the Optimystix helped Dil Raju finalise the deal. The official confirmation about the same is yet to be made. For the unversed, Vijay Deverakonda is one of the finest actors we have in Telugu cinema.
His fans are looking forward to watching him in Raanabali. If the latest report turns out to be true, it would be a delight for fans to see Vijay Deverakonda as Lord Krishna.
About Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate
Directed by Ankit Sakhiya, Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate starred Karan Joshi and Shruhad Goswami played key roles in the film. Shruhad played the role of Lord Krishna in the film.
The Gujarati film was released in the dull pre-Diwali period, on October 10, 2025. In the first week, it earned Rs 36 lakhs, while in the second week, it earned Rs 28 lakhs. Surprisingly, the film started gaining momentum in the third week as it earned Rs 70 lakh. The fourth week turned out to be a massive one for Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate makers, as it earned Rs 14 crore, after which it became unstoppable.
Notably, the latest release film, Hanuman Ansh’s box office run, is very much similar to Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate’s box office journey. The film, which was made on a budget of Rs 2 crore, crossed the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office. It has been directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, and it stars Chandan Anand and Shobhinav Satyaa in the lead roles.
