What is the story about?
Sara Arjun is Bollywood's latest sensation. While there are several rumours about her next project, with SLB's Madhubala biopic being the frontrunner,
the actress has nothing but admiration for her Dhurandhar co-star Ranveer Singh, and she isn’t holding back when it comes to praising his collaborative spirit. Having worked alongside the superstar in the action franchise, Sara believes Ranveer sets a benchmark that is hard to match. His on-set energy and his humility has clearly left a lasting impression on her. As Dhurandhar 2 continues to break box office records, Sara’s words about Ranveer and the film's team show how teamwork turned dreamwork for the crew.
Sara Arjun showers praise on Ranveer Singh
In a recent interview with Femina, Sara made a very clear statement about Ranveer’s approach to filmmaking and teamwork. She said, "Nobody will ever top Ranveer Singh as a co-actor. He really thinks it’s not his film; it’s everybody’s film." Elaborating further, she shared how his respect extends beyond just co-stars.
"He’s like that with technicians, with spot boys, every crew member and actor. And he never let his seniority come off as superiority," she added. Sara’s comments are in line with what many in the industry have often said about Ranveer Singh. His ability to create an inclusive and positive environment on set is loved by all. Despite being one of the biggest stars in the country, he ensures that every individual feels valued and respected.
Speaking about the film itself, Sara said that Dhurandhar stood out because of its strong foundation. "Everything about the film (Dhurandhar) – the cast, the technicians, the direction – was solid, but what gave us the most faith was the script. It was incredibly detailed," she shared. According to her, a clear vision and well-written narrative made the team confident about the project’s success from the start. "When something is so well written and the vision is so clear, you instinctively feel like it will work," she added.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar (2025) and its sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge (2026) follow the intense journey of undercover agent Hamza Ali Mazari. Played by Ranveer Singh, the character infiltrates Karachi’s dangerous underworld to dismantle terror networks and uncover large-scale counterfeiting operations targeting India. The narrative blends espionage, action, and psychological conflict, with the sequel diving deeper into Hamza’s past and his confrontation with a powerful mastermind. The franchise also features a strong ensemble cast including R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, Danish Pandor and Sanjay Dutt.
Sara Arjun thanks her father
Beyond her professional experiences, Sara also spoke about the influence of her father, veteran actor Raj Arjun, on her journey. She credited him for shaping her understanding of acting and instilling discipline in her craft. "I cannot imagine reaching anywhere without my father's presence. It’s not even 50-50. He’s held my hand throughout," she said. She further added that her father considers acting a sacred art and the kind of value he has for acting has been passed down to her. "For me, it’s always about matching the standard he has in his eyes for me," Sara concluded.
If the rumour about Madhubala biopic is right, Sara Arjun is steadily carving her own path in the industry and she has every opportunity right now to show her full potential.
