Kamaal R Khan, popularly known as KRK, has been arrested by the Mumbai Police. The actor, who featured in Bigg Boss 3 as a contestant, was detained after
he fired gunshots at a residential building in Mumbai. On January 23, the Oshiwara police detained Kamaal after a firing incident was reported earlier this month. According to police, the Deshdrohi actor has admitted that he fired using his licensed gun. Currently in the police custody, Kamaal's formal arrest took place this morning (January 24). As of now, the weapon has been seized and further legal formalities are underway.

If media reports are to be believed, the firing incident took place on January 18, 2026. As per India Today report, Kamaal told the police, during the questioning, that he didn't intend to hurt anyone during the firing incident.
The former Bigg Boss 3 contestant further stated that he was cleaning his gun. After cleaning gun, Kamaal fired it into a large mangrove forest in front of his house to check its functionality. The actor told the police that he fired it as he considered the area facing his house to be suitable for test.
The report further suggests that Kamaal told the police how he assumed the bullet would get lost in the mangrove forest. But there was mind when he fired the shot, causing the bullet to travel a bit further and strike a building, he said.

According to officials, the residents of Oshiwara building had no clue who fired the shots. However, an investigation has revealed that Kamaal is the prime suspect. That said, the police recovered bullets from the facade and inside home of the residents. No injuries were reported after the incident happened.
Along with the weapon, the shell casings have been recovered as a part of the investigation. Forensic teams and the Crime Branch are examining the evidence.
