Mithun Chakraborty’s Craze On Om Shanti Om Set
In a vlog, Farah Khan revealed she brought over 30 A-list stars in the song of her film, Om Shanti Om. However, she especially mentioned Mithun Chakraborty’s name, who caused a stampede on the set. Farah said, “A lot of actors came; 32 actors came. But when Dada came, I can't tell you there was a stampede… and this was before Dance India Dance. We showed in the song that one lady fainted, which actually happened before! That is why we put it in the song.”
Moreover, Farah Khan also revealed that the lightman jumped from his position just to meet Mithun Da. She said there was a commotion on the set, which shocked her and Shah Rukh Khan.
Story Behind Mithun Chakraborty’s Tapli To Shah Rukh Khan
Farah Khan also opened up about a sweet moment from the Deewangi Deewangi song, where Mithun Chakraborty gives a ‘tapli’ to Shah Rukh Khan while performing a dance step. She had asked SRK to follow the steps that Mithun Da was showing to him.
The Main Hoon Na director said, “He could not follow him, so Mithun da started giving him tapli, and we have kept that in the shot!” For the unversed, Deewangi Deewangi from Om Shanti Om became a huge hit. In fact, the song is still famous in today’s time.
