Work Front
Salman will be next seen in war drama Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace (formerly titled Battle of Galwan). The film, helmed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced by Salman Khan Films, is inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clash along the Line of Actual Control. It will see the actor essay the role of real-life hero Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu of the 16 Bihar Regiment. It was originally expected to release this year, however, the film has been facing a delay.
While there were reports of its pending certification issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), the makers recently cleared the air and rubbished the buzz.
In an official statement, they said, "Any claims suggesting that Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace has encountered issues with the CBFC or that its certification has been put on hold are false. The film has not yet been submitted to the CBFC for certification. Therefore, such reports are entirely baseless." They urged fans only to believe information shared by Salman Khan Films through its official channels.
According to the latest reports, the film is likely to be pushed to 2027.
Apart from this, Salman will be seen in Dil Raju and Vamshi Paidipally's SVC 63.
