Kannada superstar Yash’s fans can now relax as rumour of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups getting postponed indefinitely has been busted. Co-starring
Kiara Advani, the Geetu Mohandas directorial is retaining its festival release in 2026. Dismissing reports of Toxic’s delay, veteran trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed that there’s no change in release date.
Toxic makers deny delay rumours
Adarsh’s latest social media post read, "STOP THE RUMOURS... YASH’S NEXT FILM ‘TOXIC’ IS *NOT* DELAYED OR POSTPONED – 19 MARCH 2026 RELEASE CONFIRMED… Spoke to the producers – #Toxic is firmly on track for its [Thursday] 19 March 2026 release, perfectly timed for the festive weekend of #Ugadi, #GudiPadwa, and #Eid. Post-production began while #Yash was filming for #Ramayana in #Mumbai. The team is now completing the final portions of the shoot and will commence full-fledged promotions in Jan 2026."

Prior to the confirmation, reports claimed that Yash wasn’t entirely happy with the portions shot until now by Geetu, who is known for her sensitive and artistic filmmaking. The KGF star reportedly envisioned a massy actioner and demanded certain scenes to be reshot to add commercial elements.
In a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Yash shared that Toxic will feature strong female characters. "Yes, there are strong women characters. That I can say. When we are doing Toxic, it's not a conscious effort that we are bringing a lot of female characters. It's not that. It's organic. The drama we have in this film needs those characters," he mentioned.

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups coincides with Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and New Year celebrations across India, with Eid around the corner. The film has been shot simultaneously in English and Kannada, and will also release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and more.
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is jointly produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The film releases on March 16, 2026.
