BLISSOO, the agency owned by Blackpink member Jisoo, is gathering systematic evidence to pursue strict legal action against those targeting the K-pop diva.
Jisoo, who was spotted at the Dior Addict Candy Shop pop-up preview in Shibuya-ku, struck a perfect pose with Japanese celebrities like Ren Nagase and Yuko Araki, as her photos and videos flooded social media on January 19. However, in the midst of this, her label issued a strong statement to check any kind of defamation planned against the idol. Jisoo is set to launch Blackpink's much-awaited comeback album Deadline along with fellow members Lisa, Rosé, and Jennie.
Why did BLISSOO issue a statement?
The agency issued a formal legal notice on Monday, addressing what it describes as an escalating pattern of defamation, malicious rumors, and unauthorized use of Jisoo's image and intellectual property across online platforms. The company even confirmed that it has started collecting systematic evidence against such instances and will pursue strict legal action. It vowed no leniency regardless of anonymity.
It can be noted that Jisoo has been facing targeted attacks about her singing, stage presence and how she's allegedly sidelined her idol career for acting, for several months. When her acting projects were announced in 2025 and she confessed of building herself as an actor, many anti-fans called her out for her allegedly falling singing talent. Though she shut the haters with the release of her debut extended play, Amortage featuring the hit single Earthquake, she continued to remain under attack along with her Blackpink girls during their Deadline world tour.
Reason behind statement
The decision to safeguard Jisoo follows a sustained wave of harmful online activity, which the agency claims has been floating around, directly targeting the 31-year-old. BLISSOO stated that the continuous circulation of false information, defamatory posts, and slanderous commentary is harming her reputation and instances have intensified in recent days.
The company stated that it took the bold step after fans and BLINKS reported malicious posts and content urging BLISSOO to step up protection for the artist, given how the scale and coordination of the attacks kept increasing.
BLISSOO clarified that the legal response was not symbolic, as the company has already engaged specialised legal counsel, so the accused must not treat it as a one-time warning, as it would be enforced soon. So, the accounts operating under pseudonyms or through intermediary platforms should feel the threat against creating or spreading unlawful content.
