Dune: Part Three. During his latest #AskSRK session on X, a couple of fans asked him about the clash and the superstar responded to both of them with his trademark wit. In fact, he cautioned both Doomsday and Dune 3, as they will be facing serious competition from King when it arrives a week later.
Shah Rukh Khan Responds To King Getting Sandwiched Between Avengers Doomsday And Dune Part Three
A fan quizzed Shah Rukh Khan whether he will postpone King since it has been sandwiched between Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three, two of the biggest Hollywood releases in recent times. To this, the Jawan responded by saying, "Not at all....Baaki bread pieces ka bhi toh socho....hum toh center ki tasty Tikki hain."
This goes on to show the level of confidence SRK has in King as well as in his fans. Both Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part 3 are slated to release on December 18 and if the pathbreaking success of Spider-Man: Brand New Day is any indication, both these films could go on to prove huge hits at the Indian box office.
Given the massive popularity of the MCU films in India, Doomsday could prove to be a more serious threat for King, which will arrive a week later on December 24.
When another fan asked what SRK's younger son AbRam Khan would watch first between Avengers: Doomsday and King, he replied, "Pehle to Baap hi ayega beta!!!" The internet went into a collective meltdown!
Shah Rukh Khan Shares King Update
Along with confirming that King is not moving from its planned release date of December 24, Shah Rukh Khan also shares several interesting updates about the Siddharth Anand directorial. The film will feature a song by Arijit Singh, who had announced his retirement from playback singing earlier this year.
He also teased high-octane action scenes along with comedic and emotional elements, which would make King a complete package for the audience. King will mark SRK's return to the big screen three years after he wreaked havoc at the box office in 2023 with Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki.
The film features a star-studded cast including Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Arashad Warsi, Raghav Juyal, and Abhay Verma. It will also mark the first-ever onscreen collaboration between SRK and his daughter Suhana Khan.
