of fans when Sonu first delivered the smash hit in 1999. Bijuria is nostalgic, yet fresh
Bijuria belonged to Sonu's album Mausam. It was the first time we saw Sonu dance full throttle, and how! The hook step keeps making a comeback at the parties, and so does the hook tune- a combination of keyboard, tabla and harmonium. Composed by Ravi Pawar, the track climbed the charts in no time in a time when social media was no weapon and organic sales and numbers ruled. The video reminded of Michael Jackson's Thriller, and also starred Ila Arun.
Sonu Nigam is happy with Bijuria's comeback
Cut to 2025, and Bijuria has been turned into a party song, where Varun presents his signature shenanigans and Janhvi, drapped in a golden saree serves an old wine in a new bottle.
Bijuria's new version dropped on September 3, and quickly became an online trend. A major credit for this goes to its throwback vibe. Sonu is elated. Sharing his happiness exclusively with Zoom, the music maestro said, "It's like wild fire... Something that I made for myself, now being shared by so many lovely artistes, makes me very happy and humbled. And I'm witnessing so much love and praises, it's really heartwarming."

Bijuria will stay!
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari's Bijuria is set to become the next dance floor hit. But that's because the original still remains relevant and fresh reminding that if a wonderfully created song can lock its place in our hearts, you can keep adding more garnishing to it but the core taste will be unchanged. Bijuria continues to satiate our taste buds, even if its plating changes from table to table.
