Dulquer Salmaan and Pooja Hegde's much-awaited film, earlier known by its working title DQ41, finally has an official name, Sri Sri. The makers dropped
the first-look poster featuring the lead pair, along with details on the cast and crew. Here's a look at the poster, the technical team behind the project, and how DQ41 eventually became Sri Sri. The film's journey so far has already generated plenty of buzz among fans, especially with this being a first-time pairing for the two lead actors, Dulquer Salmaan and Pooja Hegde, on screen.
The Poster Reveal: Cast and Crew Details
The newly released poster of Sri Sri shows Dulquer Salmaan and Pooja Hegde seated together, sharing an easy, warm moment against a soft blue backdrop. The visual keeps things simple and understated, hinting at a gentle love story rather than a loud, dramatic one. The film will release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.
The film is being directed by debutant Ravi Nelakuditi, who has also written the script. Backing the project is Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas, with Sudhakar Cherukuri producing. The technical team includes GV Prakash Kumar composing the music for the soft love story film. The cast includes Salmaan Dulquer, Pooja Hedge in the lead, alongside Dheekshith Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Rao Ramesh, Sachin Khedekar, and Jagapathi Babu.
From DQ41 to Sri Sri: The Journey So Far
Before the title for SLV Cinema’s project was locked, the film was widely referred to as DQ41, since it marks Dulquer Salmaan's 41st project as an actor. The film also holds significance for the production house, as it will be SLV Cinemas' tenth venture, promoted under the tag SLVC10.
The project Sri Sri, formerly DQ41, was launched in Hyderabad last year with a traditional pooja ceremony, attended by names like Nani, Srikanth Odela, and Buchi Babu Sana. Filming has been underway since, with an earlier schedule shot at a hill station, where the makers had shared behind-the-scenes photos of the cast in winter wear. This is also the first time Dulquer and Pooja Hegde are sharing screen space; the pairing has already drawn attention from the audience and fans from both sides.
The project also marks Pooja Hegde's return to a leading Telugu role after nearly four years, her last major outing being Acharya in 2022. With the title now revealed as Sri Sri and the hashtag ‘LoveWillSparkAgain’ doing the rounds, anticipation for the film continues to build ahead of its release later this year.
