Bollywood’s Dhak Dhak girl Madhuri Dixit is all set to take your dhadkan away, quite literally! The actress is stepping into the dark and complex world
of Mrs Deshpande, where she plays a serial killer for the first time. In an exclusive chat, the actor reveals how deeply she immersed herself in the character’s psyche to bring the role alive. Madhuri Dixit On Playing Serial Killer In Mrs Deshpande Madhuri exclusively told Zoom, "I'm excited for this one because Mrs Deshpande is a character with a lot of layers. She's like an onion and as you go from episode to episode, you're peeling off the onion... literally getting to know her and who she is." When asked if she drew inspiration from any Bollywood characters, she replied, "No, I think each character is unique and because Mrs Deshpande has her own story and her own thing so I had to delve into her life and delve into her psyche to create who she is."

Madhuri Dixit on interaction with MF Hussain
The Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam actress also recalled her interaction with MF Husain, who was one of her biggest fans. "I asked him, 'What did you think when you were painting?' He said, 'I'm the painter, it's for you to interpret.' I thought that was so real because we are artists, when we perform, it's up to the audience to interpret and connect with it. That's something that I learned from him," shared the diva.
He also told her, "When I’m most relaxed." Madhuri added, "So I think all artists feel that way when they are conveying something, when they’re in front of the camera. I think I can speak for myself that I’m most relaxed."
Mrs Deshpande is set to stream on JioHotstar from December 19.
