Netflix is going to release the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood sequel in IMAX theatres for a two-week run before its streaming premiere on December 23,
2026. The first trailer of David Fincher’s The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth shows what the stuntman played by Brad Pitt has been up to since the last film. The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth will be released in theatres on November 25, 2026. It takes over the Thanksgiving slot vacated by Greta Gerwig's Narnia: The Magician's Nephew, which has now moved to February 2027.

Netflix unveiled the unrated trailer online and shared, "Brad Pitt returns as Cliff Booth, only this time it’s 1977 and it’s a very different Hollywood. Directed by David Fincher from a screenplay by Quentin Tarantino, THE FURTHER MIS-ADVENTURES OF CLIFF BOOTH comes to IMAX November 25."
Tarantino's first film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, was released in 2019, and the sequel takes place eight years later. Cliff Booth is no longer a stuntman; he informs viewers that Leonardo DiCaprio's Rick Dalton became too fat. Instead, Booth is now a studio fixer who occasionally deals with dead bodies as well. Cliff says, "Let's just say I know what it's like to kill someone with a knife." Besides Brad Pitt, Timothy Olyphant will return as James Stacy. New cast members include Scott Caan, Elizabeth Debicki, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Carla Gugino, Holt McCallany and JB Tadena.
The sequel, which has been filmed in Los Angeles, shoots a significant portion at the Beverly Cinema, which writer-director Tarantino owns. The Crown's Debicki plays a talent agent, Karen Crosby, who tries to hire Cliff for her client, TV actor Charlie Peters (Scott Caan). Carla Gugino plays Charlie's wife Toni, Wonder Man star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II plays pro football champion turned screen star Roderick “Hot Rod” Harrison, while Matt Groove and JB Tadena play Verdusco brothers, who are gangsters causing mayhem across the city.

The Hollywood sequel also features Peter Weller, Corey Fogelmanis, and Karren Karagulian in the ensemble cast. Tarantino, Pitt, David Heyman, Ceán Chaffin and Stacey Sher are producers on the Fincher film. The Social Network filmmaker has brought in his old collaborators for the second film. Erik Messerschmidt is the director of photography, Donald Graham Burt is the production designer, Kirk Baxter is the editor, Trish Summerville is costume designer, Ren Klyce is sound designer, and finally, Dave Macomber is stunt coordinator.
