It’s Salman Khan’s birthday, and fans have been eagerly awaiting a glimpse of his upcoming project, Battle of Galwan. Amid the excitement, a new development
has emerged. Reportedly, the makers of Alia Bhatt’s Alpha have decided to postpone the film to avoid a box office clash with the Salman starrer. Also starring Sharvari Wagh and Bobby Deol, the latest YRF SPY Universe thriller will not release in April. The decision was reportedly made out of respect for the superstar. Alpha Avoids Battle Of Galwan Clash! Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Saturday, "Alpha avoids Battle of Galwan– YRF to decide new date... #AdityaChopra steps aside for #SalmanKhan, moving #Alpha from its earlier announced release date of 17 April 2026 to avoid a direct clash with #BattleOfGalwan." He added, "#YRF had locked 17 April 2026 for #Alpha, but the makers will now announce a new release date after assessing the theatrical release calendar over the next couple of months." It is worth noting that Salman is also part of the YRF Spy Universe. His action thriller Ek Tha Tiger kick-started the successful franchise. The latest espionage film in the series starring Bhaijaan was Tiger 3, which also featured Emraan Hashmi and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. About Battle Of Galwan Helmed by Apoorva Lakhia, Khan’s upcoming project is a patriotic war drama. It is inspired by the real‑life 2020 India‑China clash in the Galwan Valley. The film follows intense military action and pays tribute to the bravery of Indian soldiers, with Bhaijaan in the lead and strong action sequences shot in Ladakh and Mumbai. The teaser is expected to be unveiled today, on the occassion of his 60th birthday. While an official announcement on the release date is awaited, the movie is now expected to release around mid‑2026. Actress Chitrangda Singh will be seen opposite Salman in the film.
