Rajinikanth's glorious 50 years in cinema
Rajinikanth, who began his illustrious career in 1975 with K Balachander’s Apoorva Raagangal, remains a towering figure in Tamil cinema at the age of 74. Renowned for his distinctive style, memorable punch dialogues, and captivating screen presence, he has delivered numerous blockbuster films such as Sivaji: The Boss, Robot, 2.0, Thalapathy, and Jailer.In 2024, the superstar was last seen in TJ Gnanavel’s Vettaiyan, sharing the screen with Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati. His upcoming project is the highly anticipated Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and featuring an ensemble cast including Shruti Haasan, Upendra, Aamir Khan, and Nagarjuna Akkineni. Scheduled for release on August 14, 2025, Coolie is set to face off at the box office against films starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR.
