Lagaan is all set to complete 25 years on June 15, 2026. Ahead of that, a grand celebration event was held to mark the 25th anniversary of Aamir Khan's
film. Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, the sports drama emerged as a commercially successful and critically acclaimed movie. On June 13, the who's who of Bollywood gathered under one roof for the special celebration. At the event, Kajol playfully teased Aamir on stage, and it turned out to be one of the biggest highlights of the event. The actress praised her Fanaa co-star, saying that he has great taste in movies. She further teased him by mentioning that Aamir also has great taste in women.
Kajol pulls Aamir Khan's leg at Lagaan event
At the 25 years of Lagaan event, Kajol and Juhi were asked to share few words for Aamir. Kajol, who worked with Khan in Fanaa, stated that the actor, through Aamir Khan Productions, has proved that he has great taste in movies. "Irrevocably good taste. Starting with Lagaan and continuing forward — and great taste in women as well," she added. Her statement left Aamir in splits and the actor also appeared visibly shy.
On the other hand, Aamir's Qayamat Se Qayamat co-star Juhi stated that she could take over the evening if she started talking about the actor. "Because before he began Aamir Khan Productions, he was AK and we worked together, that was his first film. Aur dekho jisne mere saath kaam kiya, woh kahan pahunch gaya," shared Juhi.
For the unversed, Salman Khan, Javed Akhtar, Kiran Rao and son Azad Kareena Kapoor Khan, Gauri Spratt, Rajkumar Hirani, and several others were present at the event. Members of Lagaan marked their presence as well. Salman left everyone surprised with his bald look as well.
Aamir Khan to marry girlfriend Gauri Spratt in July?
Meanwhile, according to a Filmfare report, Aamir will get married to his girlfriend Gauri Spratt in an intimate ceremony on July 5. The actor was previously married to filmmaker Kiran Rao, with whom he has a son - Azad Rao Khan. Married in 2005, the duo officially got divorced after 15 years in 2021. That, Reena Dutta is Aamir's first wife and they are parents to two children - daughter Ira Khan and son Junaid Khan. They married in 1986 and later divorced in 2002.
