Shahid Kapoor on returning to rom-com genre
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Shahid opened up about the artistic risk of returning to rom-com genre after a long time. The actor feels repetition is risk and people could say that they have seen him do this before. According to him, actors look completely different sometimes because everything around them is different. But the performance doesn't necessarily change so much.
"For me, the challenge was the opposite; doing something familiar but finding a different way into it. Homi came in without being influenced by my previous work. He had a very personal understanding of the character, and I submitted to that from day one. That helped me find something fresh," he added.
