The superhero film maintained its momentum through the second weekend, with its collections receiving a significant boost from the strong response on Saturday and Sunday. According to Sacnilk, Spider-Man: Brand New Day collected Rs 15 crore on its second Friday, followed by Rs 31 crore on its second Saturday. The film witnessed another major jump on its second Sunday, earning Rs 34.70 crore.
The strong second-weekend performance helped the film race towards the Rs 500 crore gross milestone in India. With its latest milestone, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has overtaken the previous records held by some of the biggest Hollywood releases in India. The film has surpassed the lifetime gross of Avengers: Endgame and has also overtaken Avatar: The Way of Water to emerge as the biggest Hollywood film ever in India.
