media reports stated that the veteran actor had been put on a ventilator. However, Sunny Deol's team dismissed the reports as 'rumours' and assured that the senior actor is 'getting better'. And now, the veteran actor has issued an official statement, reassuring everyone that the Dharmendra is stable.
Dharmendra's family shares health update
In an official statement, the Sholay actor's family mentioned, "Mr. Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further comments and updates will be shared as available." They further requested for privacy.
"Request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family’s right to privacy," the statement read. A while ago, Dharmendra's wife Hema Malini was spotted visiting the Breach Candy hospital where her husband is admitted. Reacting to rumours around her husband's health, the senior actress told Hindustan Times, "We're hoping for his speedy recovery."

Additionally, Sunny's (Dharmendra's son) team dismissed the rumours of the veteran actor being on ventilator. "It’s rumour mongering like always, Sir is getting better. He’s under observation. There’s nothing to worry," the Gadar 2 actor's team was quoted as saying by ETimes.
Dharmendra's work front
On the work front, Dharmendra was last seen in Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. Before that, he featured in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani with Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. His upcoming movie is Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan's grandson, Agastya Nanda. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Binny Padda, the film has been scheduled for a theatrical release on December 25, 2025.
