What is the story about?
King is one of the most awaited films of the year. Starring Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan in the lead roles, the actioner features a massive
ensemble cast, including Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat and more. Actor Raghav Juyal, currently seen in Bhai Tera Star Hai, is also a part of the project. While rumours were rife that he plays the younger antagonist in King, he has now debunked the reports. The Ba***ds of Bollywood actor said that the actioner has a completely different plot and is being shot in a unique way.
Raghav Juyal Is NOT Playing Young Antagonist In King
In a recent interview, Raghav Juyal was asked about the rumours of him playing a villain in King. He replied, "Yeh biljul, sarasar jhoot bol rahe hai. Kyunki, aisa kuch nahi hai. It's a very different thing. It's a very different story and a very unique plot. Woh jab film dekhenge aap, tabhi aapko uska ilm hoga ki kya hai woh kya nahi (This is absolutely, completely false. Nothing like that is true. It is a very different thing, a very different story, and a very unique plot. You will only understand what it is and what it isn't when you watch the film)."
Reports had earlier suggested that Raghav would play a key antagonist in King. He was rumoured to be portraying Jackie Shroff’s character’s son, fighting a younger version of SRK's character, making him one of the film’s main villains.
Talking about the film, the Dance India Dance fame added, "It's a very unique film. The way they are taking the shots. Siddharth (Anand) sir jo karrahe hai isme, it's a very different thing. Mera look bhi, jaise har film mein alag hota hai, isme bhi bilkul different hai (What Siddharth Anand sir is doing with this film is very different. Even my look, which is different in every film, is completely different in this one as well)."
Raghav Juyal On King
Recently, Raghav also opened up about his experience of working with King Khan in the much-awaited action thriller. The actor, who is a self-proclaimed SRKian, described the opportunity as a dream come true and recalled feeling overwhelmed while shooting their first scene together.
He revealed that when Shah Rukh delivered his dialogue, Raghav briefly forgot his own lines as childhood memories of watching the superstar’s films repeatedly in single-screen theatres came rushing back. Raghav said that it felt surreal to hear SRK addressing him directly on camera. However, he eventually composed himself and completed the scene.
King is set to release in theatres on December 24, 2026.
