exciting stories. September is a busy month for Bollywood. The first week of September marks the arrival of Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu and Ali Fazal’s much-anticipated Mirzapur: The Movie. The film adaptation is based on the first season of the acclaimed Amazon Prime Video show. Kareena Kapoor and Prithviraj Sukumaran team up for Meghna Gulzar’s Daayra, produced by Junglee Pictures. Mirzapur: The Movie – September 4
Mirzapur: The Movie is releasing theatrically on September 4. While Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu and Ali Fazal return as Kaleen Bhaiya, Munna Bhaiya and Guddu Bhaiya, the old cast of the series makes a comeback. The film is based on the first season of Mirzapur, but the story has been altered for the big screen. Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Mohitt Maalik, Sheeba Chadha, Rajesh Tailang, Pramod Pathak, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Sonal S. Chauhan, Anangsha Biswas, Shaji Chaudhary, Satendra Soni, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Sushant Singh have joined the film in pivotal roles.Haiwaan – September 11
In Priyadarshan’s Haiwaan, Saif Ali Khan plays the hero and Akshay is the ‘haiwaan’. In the dark and chilling world, the stage is set for a nail-biting cat-and-mouse chase. Saif is a blind man who is locking horns with Akshay. Boman Irani joins the film as a judge and Saiyami Kher plays a cop. Shriya Pilgaonkar and Sharib Hashmi will be seen in pivotal roles. Haiwaan releases in theatres on September 11.Daayra – September 18
Daayra is headlined by Kareena Kapoor and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film marks the first collaboration between Junglee Pictures and Pen Studios, while reuniting Meghna Gulzar with Junglee Pictures for the third time after Talvar and Raazi. Inspired by true events, Daayra is written by Yash Keswani, Sima Agarwal and Meghna Gulzar. The film promises to be a gripping story where truth, justice and accountability intersect. It releases on September 18.Vibe – September 18
Kunal Kemmu returns to the director’s chair with Vibe, while also starring in and writing the film. Co-starring Preity Zinta and Sparsh Shrivastava, the film is an action-adventure comedy that follows two friends whose lives take an unexpected turn when they find themselves caught up in a dangerous situation. Vibe releases in theatres on September 18.The Vvaan – Force of the Forrest – September 25
Set against the mysterious backdrop of an ancient forest, The Vvaan combines folklore, mythology and adventure as its characters confront forces beyond the ordinary. With its distinctive premise and atmospheric setting, this Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia film tells an unknown story on the big screen.
