On Thursday, Boney Kapoor shared a picture of the letter sent by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to congratulate Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar on their wedding. Addressing Boney Kapoor personally, the Prime Minister extended his heartfelt greetings to the newlyweds and thanked the filmmaker for inviting him to the wedding ceremony held on July 6, 2026.
In his letter, PM Modi wished the couple a lifetime of happiness as they embarked on a new chapter together. He expressed hope that their love and companionship would grow stronger with each passing day and that they would remain true partners throughout life's journey.

Sharing the letter on Instagram, Boney Kapoor expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for the thoughtful gesture. In his caption, the filmmaker thanked PM Modi for his warm wishes and blessings, calling them deeply meaningful for Anshula and Rohan. He wrote that the Prime Minister's kind words had made the wedding celebrations even more memorable for the newlyweds as well as the entire Kapoor family. Boney also said the family felt overwhelmed by the gesture and sincerely appreciated the personal blessings extended to the couple.
Anshula Kapoor, daughter of Boney Kapoor and the late Mona Shourie Kapoor, married screenwriter Rohan Thakkar on July 6 in an intimate ceremony at Taj Lands End in Mumbai. The wedding was conducted according to traditional Hindu rituals, with the couple taking pheras in the presence of their close family members and friends.
The celebrations were followed by a grand after-party attended by several leading names from the Hindi film industry. Family members including Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor and Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor were present to celebrate the occasion. The guest list also included Alia Bhatt, Rekha, Jackie Shroff, Atlee, Riteish Deshmukh, Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani, Bobby Deol and many other celebrities. One of the biggest highlights of the evening was Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor's energetic performance. Anshula and Rohan's love story began in 2022 after they met through a dating app. Their relationship blossomed over the years before Rohan proposed to Anshula at New York's Central Park in July 2025. The couple later got engaged, culminating in their wedding this month.
