Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, known for his philanthropic work, has arrived in Punjab to assist villages severely affected by recent floods. The Fateh actor,
who has been actively involved in relief efforts, will be on the ground helping victims with essential supplies. He stated that he is “not planning to go back soon,” emphasising his commitment to supporting those in need until the situation stabilises. Sonu Sood Visits Flood-Hit Villages In Punjab Sood was spotted at the Amritsar airport as he landed in Punjab. Talking to news agency ANI, he said, "I am going to Baghpur, Sultanpur Lodhi, Firozpur, Fazilka, Ajnala, and I will try to go around and find out the situation. I feel that in the coming time, since it is still raining in Punjab, many houses have been destroyed, the livelihood of the people has been ruined, so I will try to give all the help, and take a list of their needs from the local administration. This is not a work of a week or ten days. It will take at least a few months to get Punjab back on its feet. I think everyone is coming forward. But still, we need many hands to join so that Punjab can be revived as soon as possible. Those whose houses have been destroyed, we will try together to build some houses. I have not planned to go back soon, I will try to reach the most affected villages..."

Reacting to the devastating floods in the state, Sood had written, "I stand with Punjab. Anyone affected by these devastating floods is not alone. Together, we will help every single person get back on their feet. If you need any kind of help, please don’t hesitate to message — we will do our best to reach out and support you in any way we can. Punjab is my soul. Even if it takes everything, I will not back down. We are Punjabis — and we do not give up."
