Blackpink, heading for a disbandment, left their fandom concerned. The recent speculations following Jisoo, Lisa, Rosé and Jennie's actions during their final
show at Hong Kong as part of the band's DEADLINE World Tour started trending in no time, leaving BLINKs wondering whether there was any truth in the rumours. APT hitmaker Rosé has now reacted to her band's alleged disbanding. Blackpink debuted under YG Entertainment on August 8, 2016, with their single album Square One, featuring the hit tracks Whistle and Boombayah. It took the four girl no time to quickly find fame, setting records as one of the fastest K-pop groups to win a music show award and achieving massive global success. Now, after a decade, many believe the members are heading to pursue their solo careers.
Rosé reacts to disbandment rumours
During her recent appearance on Call Her Daddy podcast with host Alex Cooper, Rosé opened up about several things, and one of them was about the band triggering rumours of breaking up. She was asked what would happen if one of the members didn't want to continue with Blackpink. Rosé said, "If one of us feels like at that time it’s not the right thing, then we’re all in, we would all understand. Like any relationship, if one person is not ready for something, then it should just be respected."
Reassuring the massive fan community, Rosé stated, "I think we will always be ready to do that because BLACKPINK is only four members, first of all, so we would not be able to neglect anyone’s, you know, decision at any time in their life. And we trust that every decision made is you know, the right decision made for each person."
Rosé spills the beans on bond between members
The 28-year-old Grammy-nominated artist also opened up about the group dynamics and her bond with the other three, Jisoo, Lisa and Jennie. Rosé said, "We’re best friends. We are sisters. We’re like family. We’re colleagues….what else could you say? What else is on the table? It’s really all of that combined. I do agree that it is a very unique relationship that we have, but over time, more layers have been added on to the type of relationship we have, but even more so, I think it feels more solid."
BLINKs react to Rosé's confession
Rosé's reply gave the much-needed encouragement to BLINKs that Blackpink was not going anywhere, at least for now. A fan reacted on X (formerly Twitter), "really like that she was able to ask this question and how rosé is so mature about it. it’s not nothing to come out and say ‘if it doesn’t work, it won’t’. blackpink has always been built on love & trust for themselves as individuals ánd the group, that’s why they work so well."
Another one posted, "yall freaking out everytime the tour ends bc of possible disbandment when they havent even discussed anything about that im crying." An emotional fan said, "healthiest group dynamic ever i love my family please dont leave me." Another reaction read, "and some random pixel in this app swore the girls no longer wanted to be part of the group when the 'D' word hadn't even been brought up during their conversations."
Blackpink's disbandment reports
Blackpink sparked reports of disbandment when fans noticed Jisoo getting ignored by the other three at their Hong Kong show. Even their group hug towards the end looked forced, with many alleging a fallout with the band's eldest 'Unni.'
Blackpink embarked on their first all-stadium tour on July 5, 2025, at the Goyang Stadium in South Korea, and concluded on January 26, 2026, at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong.
