What is the story about?
Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt have began a new chapter after tying the knot in an intimate wedding earlier this month. While the couple exchanged vows in a private
ceremony at the actor's rented Pali Hill residence, reports suggest Aamir is already planning a grand future for his family. According to reports, the superstar is developing a luxurious sky villa in Mumbai's Marina Apartments redevelopment project, where he, Gauri and their blended family are expected to live once construction is complete. The reported investment, said to exceed Rs 100 crore, is also expected to provide homes for several members of Aamir's family.
Aamir Khan's lavish abode in the making
According to a report by the Free Press Journal, Aamir Khan's permanent home with Gauri Spratt will be in the upcoming high-rise redevelopment of Marina Apartments in Mumbai's Union Park, Khar. The actor has reportedly owned multiple apartments in the Marina complex for years and has long been fond of the quiet neighbourhood, which is located close to his cousin Mansoor Khan's bungalow. Although the redevelopment project is still under construction and is expected to be ready around 2030, reports claim Aamir has already finalised plans for the family's future residence.
The report suggests that the actor will own around a dozen apartments in the building. The top three floors are expected to be combined into a lavish sky villa, which will serve as the home for Aamir, Gauri and Quinn, Gauri's son from her previous marriage. Sources quoted in the report claim the residence is being designed as one of Mumbai's most luxurious celebrity homes. Since Aamir is known for hosting intimate gatherings with close friends from the film industry, sports and business circles, one of the floors is reportedly being dedicated exclusively to private parties and family celebrations.
Aamir Khan's family to live in the same building
The actor is also said to be planning homes for several members of his extended family within the same building. According to the report, Aamir has allocated one floor for his son, actor Junaid Khan, whom he shares with his first wife, Reena Dutta. Additional apartments are reportedly being reserved for filmmaker Kiran Rao and their son Azad Rao Khan. The report further states that Aamir's mother, Zeenat Hussain, along with his sisters Nikhat Khan and Farhat Dutta, are also likely to receive apartments in the redeveloped complex. It is further claimed that the actor has already paid an advance exceeding Rs 100 crore towards acquiring the additional apartments for his family. However, Aamir Khan has not publicly commented on these reports.
The reports surfaced just days after Aamir and Gauri Spratt got married on July 5 in an intimate ceremony held at the actor's rented residence in Pali Hill, Mumbai. The wedding was attended by close family members and friends, with the couple reportedly registering their marriage under the Special Marriage Act. Staying true to their understated style, both Aamir and Gauri opted for elegant traditional outfits instead of an extravagant celebration.
Aamir was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children, Ira Khan and Junaid Khan. Following their separation in 2002, the actor married filmmaker Kiran Rao. The two announced their separation in 2021 and continue to co-parent their son, Azad Rao Khan.
