Dhurandhar: The Revenge is going to be the new Sholay and Mughal-e-Azam, feels filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who recently watched the actioner ahead of its
release. In his review, the Satya director also said that Hollywood legends like Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan should drop everything and watch it on the first day, first show. According to him, Aditya Dhar has marked the "birth of a new cinematic order" with the sequel to Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster. It is worth noting that RGV is among Dhar's most vocal backers in the industry. Earlier, he had called Dhurandhar a "quantum leap in Indian cinema." Dhurandhar 2 First Review Out Taking to X, he wrote, "After last night's watch of #Dhurandhar2 - in terms of it’s sheer cumulative impact in every which way, whether on it’s expected collections, audience euphoria, social influences, cinematic grammar breaking, and above all the psychological audio visual impact, it will be a Sholay x 100 level magnificence and is bound to make all the greatest films made so far, starting from Mughal-e-Azam onwards, look like TV serials." RGV added: "This is the birth of a new cinematic order and the ruthless extinction of everything that ever existed before in the previous world of cinema. The very spelling of the word director will start from @adityadharfilms name, and it will be prudent and wise for even Steven Spielberg and Christopher to drop everything they are doing, and catch #Dhurandhar2 FIRST DAY FIRST SHOW." Dhurandhar: The Revenge Is Almost Here One of the most anticipated films of the year, Dhurandhar 2 sees Ranveer Singh return as an undercover Indian spy. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film follows Jaskirat Singh Rangi’s transformation into Hamza Ali Mazari and his rise in Lyari, Karachi. The cast also includes Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam, and R. Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, along with Sara Arjun, Danish Pandor, Rakesh Bedi, and others reprising their roles. Just like the first instalment, the sequel is set to make history at the box office. But, it is going to be bigger and better! Trade experts, in an exclusive chat with ZoomZoom, said that the Ranveer Singh starrer is expected to earn over Rs 300 crore in its extended opening weekend. From paid previews alone, it has already collected around Rs 48 crore in India. Meanwhile, worldwide advance bookings have crossed the Rs 100 crore mark. Dhurandhar 2 hits theatres on March 19 in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, and the buzz around it is already sky-high.
