While this is a sensitive topic as idols’ personal lives are constantly scrutinised and often tightly guarded in K-Pop, Jin's views on marriage are very straightforward - he is fully loyal to his fans and there is no scope for anybody else to be involved with him!
Jin will never marry or date!
The discussion surfaced in a clip shared on Kian84’s YouTube channel during a casual conversation with singer Chuu. As the topic shifted to the unspoken expectations placed on K-pop idols regarding dating, Kian84, whose real name is Kim Hee-Min, offered a candid glimpse into Seokjin’s mindset. He revealed that while many celebrities publicly maintain a no-dating image, Jin genuinely lives by it, even when the cameras are turned off.
"There are a few (celebrities) like that (who are okay with the unspoken no-dating rule in K-pop). One would be Seokjin-nie! Even when the cameras aren’t rolling, he says, ‘No dating, no marriage.’" Kian84 said, showing the singer is truly not in a relationship.
Intrigued by Jin’s firm outlook, Kian84 recalled asking him directly why he felt so strongly about avoiding relationships altogether. Jin’s response, according to him, was simple and showed his responsibility as an idol towards his millions of admirers. The idol, who is called 'Worldwide Handsome' by ARMYs said, “Because that’s not loyalty towards your fans.”
When Kian84 pointed out that several celebrities say similar things publicly while dating privately, Jin reportedly shut down the idea immediately. “No, hyung, no, you shouldn’t (do that),” he said, adding that even away from the spotlight, Jin was committed to staying honest and loyal to his fans.
ARMYs react to Jin's strict dating rule
The revelation has triggered mixed reactions among ARMYs online. One fan said, “Oh Jin, I knew he loved us but I didn't know he was making such huge sacrifices for us.” Another was against this information being shared publicly, “It's a private conversation between him and Seokjin. Why is he leaking it? This isn't friendship at all. What if it's the other way around? What if he's dating? And what business is it of the fans? At the end of the day, everyone is in the arms of the person they love.” A third fan took a more supportive tone, writing, “Do whatever you want King Seokjin! Date , marry or whatever we love you and will be happy for you always.”

Shortly after, the boys will go on a massive world tour covering 34 cities and 79 shows, beginning with a grand opening concert at Goyang Stadium on April 9, 2026.
