Reports were rife that BTS recorded an unreleased song by Michael Jackson as part of an upcoming tribute album for the pop legend. However, BigHit Music
on August 5, issued a statement, claiming that the K-pop group isn’t involved in the tribute album. The agency also denied claims that BTS visited Ireland’s Grouse Lodge studio.
BigHit Music's statement
The statement read, “Hello! This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We would like to address recent media reports concerning BTS' alleged participation in a Michael Jackson tribute album. BTS has neither visited Grouse Lodge Studio in Ireland nor taken part in any recording sessions at the location for the mentioned project. The group is not involved in the tribute album in any capacity.”

BigHit Music further added, “We are continuing to take appropriate measures to prevent the spread of inaccurate information. We express our sincere gratitude to fans for continuously showing support for BTS. We remain fully committed to supporting the artists and their endeavors.”
BTS x MJ tribute album collab rumours
On August 3, The Irish Sun reported that Jackson wrote several songs during the summer of 2006 while staying in a converted cow shed in Ireland with his family. Grouse Lodge studio had also confirmed that BTS and others have participated in the tribute album for the songs that were never released during the pop icon’s lifetime.
About BTS reunion
At present, BTS members have completed their military services and are working on their reunion album, which is expected to be released by the summer of 2026.
