Ayushmann Khurrana is celebrating his birthday and has been showered with wishes from all around. Among the many heartfelt greetings, one stood out — a message
from his Thama co-star Rashmika Mandanna, who shared an unseen picture from the film’s set.
Rashmika Mandanna's story
Taking to her Instagram stories, Rashmika posted a photo where she and Ayushmann are seen sitting inside a car, smiling at the camera. “Happy birthday,” she wrote alongside the picture. Thama, a horror-comedy film, is all set to hit theaters this Diwali, and the makers are eagerly looking forward to its release.

Thama Teaser
The teaser starts by showcasing Ayushmann and Rashmika’s chemistry, portraying them as lovers destined to be together. The visuals hint at a passionate love story. However, the arrival of Nawazuddin Siddiqui changes everything, adding suspense and intensity that keeps viewers hooked till the end.
Ayushmann plays the role of Alok, described as “Insaaniyat ki aakhri umeed” — the last ray of hope. His character’s full nature is kept under wraps. Rashmika plays Tadaka, described as “Roshni ki ek hi pehli kiran” — the very first ray of light. Her character promises to be the spark of hope in a world teetering between love and chaos. Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays Yakshasan, known as “Andhere ka Badshah” — the King of Darkness, expected to bring menace and depth to the narrative. Veteran actor Paresh Rawal appears as Mr. Ram Bajaj Goyal, a man “jo hamesha comedy mein tragedy dhoondhte hain” — who always finds tragedy within comedy, balancing humour with dark themes.
Ayushmann and Rashmika on Working in Thama
Rashmika Mandanna shared that working on Thama has been one of the most challenging experiences of her career. Speaking to The Nog Magazine, she said, “Oh my God! Thama! We really put in a lot of effort for this film. Until now, I thought I had seen it all after doing 24–25 films. But Thama made me realize I wasn’t prepared for what it demanded. I feel this film will change the way people perceive me.”
