According to Samantha, neither of them was putting pressure on the other about becoming parents. They were prepared to accept whatever life had in store for them.
The actress described her pregnancy as a surprise because she had already reached a comfortable place emotionally. Samantha said she discovered the news while shooting for the song Thassadiya. She had only just found out when she had to perform the steps for the song. The actress recalled experiencing some sickness at the time, but said she was now truly excited about the journey ahead.
The actress further admitted that she understands motherhood will bring a major change to her life. However, she feels ready to embrace it. Samantha had confirmed her pregnancy in June during a success event for Maa Inti Bangaaram. She and Raj had made their relationship official in December 2025. The couple had worked together on Citadel: Honey Bunny before their relationship became public.
Interestingly, Samantha was already pregnant while finishing work on Maa Inti Bangaaram. Director Nandini Reddy later revealed that the team took extra care during the final portions of the shoot. Since the film involved energetic sequences and an outdoor car chase, the makers made sure Samantha was not overworked and received enough breaks.

With motherhood now becoming her priority, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is preparing to take a break from acting. She had announced her maternity break during the Maa Inti Bangaaram success meet in June. The actress told the media that she would take a small gap from work and return after her maternity leave.
Despite stepping away from acting, Samantha is not completely leaving the entertainment industry. Her production banner Tralala Moving Pictures will continue to remain active while she takes time off for motherhood.
