Ranveer Singh is currently enjoying the massive success Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar is receiving domestically and in international circuits. The Aditya Dhar directorial
is minting money at the boxoffice, having crossed Rs 500 crore at the box office. The film, which also stars R Madhavan, Arjun Ramopal, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in pivotal roles remains unstoppable in theatres. Amidst all this, reports are now doing the round that Ranveer Singh has decided to exit Farhan Akhar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Don 3.
Ranveer Singh Not in Don 3?
As per a report in Pinkvilla, a source close to the project has revealed that with the massive success of Dhurandhar, Ranveer is very clear about the kind of films he wants to do going forward. The actor, reportedly is keen to collaborate with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Lokesh Kanagaraj and Atlee. He also does not want to be seen in back-to-back gangster films after the success of Dhurandhar.
Ranveer Singh and Pralay
The source has also told the publication that following Dhurandhar, Singh has also asked Jai Mehta to prepone the shoot of Pralay, fast tracking the project and bringing it to the floors sooner than originally planned.
Applause Entertainment's Pralay is a zombie-based film about how far a man will go to save his family during an apocalypse. The source was quoted as saying, "Now that he (Ranveer Singh) has walked out of Don 3, Singh is now personally involved in aligning dates and schedules for Jai Mehta's film to ensure the film moves quickly."
An insider also confirmed that Ranveer was scheduled to begin prepping for Don 3 right after the release of Dhurandhar, but now makers have already startec looking for a new actor to step into the role of Don, with an intent of taking the film to the floors by the end of January 2026.
