Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan, made his big directorial debut with The Ba***ds of Bollywood. The director impressed everyone with his first-ever project,
which premiered on Netflix. Starring Lakshya, Bobby Deol and Mona Singh in key roles, the show struck the right chord with audiences post its release. After the massive success of the first season, the show is reportedly being renewed for a second season. According to a media report, the writing work on The Ba***ds of Bollywood 2 has already begun and is expected to continue till the end of this year.
What is the latest update on The Ba***ds of Bollywood 2?
A source told Mid-Day that Aryan is taking a measure approached to The Ba***ds of Bollywood 2. The makers are apparently trying to craft a fresh narrative this time. "The effort right now is to make sure the writing feels fresh and original, rather than simply repeating what worked the first time. Bilal Siddiqi, who was a key creative force behind the first season, is actively working on the scripts," the source said.
And if everything goes as planned, the show is likely to move into production stage next year. The report suggests the Lakshya-starrer is expected to go on floors by the first quarter of 2027. That said, the shoot-related decisions might only take place with Shah Rukh Khan's King, directed by Siddharth Anand, will release in December this year.
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, The Ba***ds of Bollywood was released on September 18, 2025. In this show, Lakshya played the character of Aasman, while Sahher Bambba was seen as Karishma. Bobby Deol essayed the character of Ajay Talvar and Mona Singh was Neeta Singh. Apart from them, the star cast included Anya Singh, Rajat Bedi, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Gautami Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa, and others.

Earlier, in an exclusive interview with Zoom, Bobby opened up about doing The Ba***ds of Bollywood. "I didn't think twice. I said I'm doing it. Because we know how it is for a parent. I mean, anybody close to (you) would ask you to help their child, anybody would do it," he said. The actor also stated that the show was all about the myths people have about the industry.
