The excitement around Ramayana continues to gather momentum, with the ambitious mythological epic adding another major milestone ahead of its release. T-Series has officially acquired the all-language music rights for Ramayana: Part One and Part Two in what is being described as a record-breaking deal worth Rs 75 crore.
The acquisition comes after intense competition between leading music labels, with Sony Music also reportedly in the race. After multiple rounds of negotiations, T-Series emerged successful, securing the rights in an advance deal that reflects the industry's confidence in the film's soundtrack. According to industry sources, the Rs 75 crore has been structured as a refundable advance covering the music rights for both instalments of the epic.
A close associate at T-Series confirmed the development, stating that Bhushan Kumar and the senior leadership at T-Series are supremely confident about the potential of the film's soundtrack. The associate further added, "As part of the arrangement, T-Series has paid an advance of ₹75 crore for the music rights. The amount covers the music of both parts of Ramayana."
The deal is being touted as one of the biggest music rights acquisitions in Indian cinema, surpassing previous benchmarks. It also underlines the immense anticipation surrounding Ramayana, particularly its music, which is being composed by Oscar-winning musicians A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer, who have joined forces for the first time on an Indian feature film.
Ramayana trailer date revealed
The official trailer of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana: Part 1 will be unveiled globally on July 30, 2026, at 4:15 AM IST, coinciding with the auspicious Brahma Muhurat. Producer Namit Malhotra announced the launch on Instagram after the trailer's release was postponed from its initially planned July 24 date. The much-awaited preview is expected to offer fans their first detailed look at the epic starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Sita.
Ramayana has been envisioned as a two-part epic, with the story split to allow a deeper exploration of its characters and emotional arcs. Part One will conclude on a major cliffhanger, setting up the events of the second instalment. The film also portrays Lord Ram's journey of gradually discovering his divine purpose as the narrative unfolds.
Ramayana Part 1 and Part 2 will hit theatres in Diwali 2026 and 2027, respectively!
