discussed that they are irreplaceable stars. Now, in a media interview, Aamir Khan reacted to it. The Sitaare Zameen Par actor recalled watching that particular scene on YouTube and called it 'funny'. Khan stated that the conversation was about the film and 'also about outside the film'. In the interview, Aamir admitted that Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal are capable of taking over the legacy from the superstars.

In an interview with Variety India, Aamir said that a lot of people guessed what Salman and Shah Rukh tried to say in the Pathaan scene without taking any names. The actor further admitted that 'young actors' have proved that they can give them a run for their money.
"Chhaava with Vicky Kaushal, Animal with Ranbir Kapoor, Dhurandhar with Ranveer. They're there. They're very capable of taking over from us. I would say they are very talented actors, perhaps more talented than us. They are staking a claim for a rightful place. So they have answered without saying anything; they've answered with their work," he told the portal.
The Laal Singh Chaddha actor also reflected on how every generation and every period will have its own heroes and heroines. Aamir believes that irrespective of gender, there will be people who will touch everyone's hearts in a way that connects widely. "A lot of people have been saying that the time of superstars is gone - these are the last of the Mohicans. But aisa kuch nahi hai," he added.

Continuing the chat, Aamir gave an example of Ahaan Panday-starrer Saiyaara's success. The actor added that nobody is indispensable in this world. He believes that there will always be people better, hardworking and talented than others, who will come and take their place.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Aamir was last seen in Sitaare Zameen Par. The film was critically acclaimed and worked well at the box office. As of now, the actor hasn't announced his new project. That said, Aamir's upcoming production venture, Lahore 1947, will be released this year. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and starring Sunny Deol, the film is set for a theatrical release on August 13.
